Drag Race Holland premieres on Videoland on Friday September 18
Dutch stylist and TV personality Fred van Leer has been asked by RuPaul to host the Dutch version of the huge television brand Drag Race. Fred’s reply was a loud and clear: “Hell yes!” (see video). Drag Race Holland with Fred van Leer as brand new host premieres on Videoland on Friday, September 18. Ten of the most glamorous drag queens will compete in this first Dutch season to determine who will be crowned as the first Dutch Drag Race Superstar.
Brand new Drag Race Holland host Fred van Leer: “I still can’t believe I’ll host Drag Race Holland with the blessing of RuPaul! What a dream! This program is everything I believe in and stand for! It’s all about charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent and I can’t wait to see all the fantastic creations of the queens on the runway, the lip syncs and all the challenges we created. A first message to our queens:You’d better work bitch! Good luck and don’t fuck it up!“
The series will feature ten incredible Dutch drag queens who take part in weekly challenges with the lowest scoring queens facing-off against each other in a legendary lip-sync battle for a chance to remain in the competition. Whoever wins: “Shantay you stay!”, who loses: “Sashay away!”. The judges and guest judge line-up will be announced in due course.
Drag Race Holland (8×60’) is produced by Netherlands based production company Vincent TV Production and Executive Produced by World of Wonder as the format owners.
